Oikos is the Greek word for "house". It is the root of both "economy" and "ecology", so that gives you an idea of what we're about: Our goal is to educate future leaders (i.e. LSE students :-) ) about sustainable economics and management.

Oikos has quite a tradition at LSE, and Harriet Jackson, the oikos international president 2010/11, is an LSE alumna.
